Although the Netherlands is not a country with snow and mountains, the need for snow experience is great. After years of decline (TNS NIPO), the number of Dutch people went on holiday in the 2014-2015 season remained about the same as the number of 2013-2014 season. This, according to the ANWB about 930,000, almost one million. The majority of winter sports enthusiasts in February 2015 went to the ski resorts, about 40 percent of holiday lovers. On the one hand the number of people went skiing remained about the same, compared with the 2013-2014 season. On the other hand, the short ski-holiday increases. This is a short winter from Friday / Sunday. Here we can still enjoy the snow experience abroad, and it remains affordable. According to Summit Travel has this number increased by 6 percent. The economy is increasingly stabilizing. We don’t want to limit in our vacations because they charge us, get us out of our own environment and gives us a worry-free and a stress-free time in these rapid and complex society in which we live.
